Frequently asked questions

I don't know anyone else going, can I join?

Yes! We are always happy to meet new friends you are most welcome and will come away with life long friendships!

Can Non-Zumba participants join the cruise?

Of course they can! People often ask if they can bring friends, children or spouses. Anyone is welcome to join us whether or not they want to do our fitness classes. Our group discount means booking through Events At Sea will offer you a discount compared with booking direct.

Is this a full ship charter?

No. Events At Sea has taken group space onboard a normal Royal Caribbean Sailing. The vast majority of guests on the ship are not participating in our group.

If I book outside the Zumba Cruise Group will I be able to participate in your activities?

Due to capacity constraints in venues our events will be limited to those booked on the Zumba Cruise Group by Events At Sea only. Those booked through another travel agency or directly with the cruise line will not be able to participate.

Can I book 3 or 4 guests in my stateroom through Events At Sea?

Yes! A limited number of triple and quad cabins have been secured within our group allocation, bookable online. If your chosen category no longer has availability in triple or quad berths, please submit an enquiry form with the stateroom category and number of guests you would like to book, subject to availability we will secure this for you (at the prevailing rate) on our group so you can participate in our events.

Can I book Suites through Events At Sea?

Yes! Please submit an enqiery form with the stateroom category you would like to book, subject to availability we will secure this for you (at the prevailing rate) on our group so you can participate in our events.

What is the minimum age to be in a stateroom without an adult?

For safety reasons, there must be at least one Adult age 18 or above occupying each room.

What ID is required for this sailing?

As this is a domestic cruise, Australian residents must provide Government issued photo I.D or a Passport. Children must also have a Government issued ID or Passport. A current Medicare card can also be used for passengers under the age of 18. Please ensure that you bring this form of ID to check-in on the day of your cruise. International guests on a domestic cruise must have a passport that is valid for 6 months after the date of the cruise return.

Can I travel with a child for whom I am not the legal hardian?

Adults who are not the parents or legal guardians of any minor child (aged 17 years or under) who are travelling with them will be required to present the child's birth certificate or certified copy. NB On a domestic cruise, the child will not be permitted to board with just a medicare card as ID, if the travelling adult is not named on that medicare card.

They will also need to bring an original copy of the Minor Consent Form signed by one of the parents or legal guardians, authorising the minor to travel on that specific cruise. This letter must state the travelling adult's name, and that they are authorised to travel with this particular minor on this particular cruise and date. This letter must authorise them to supervise the child, sign applicable waivers and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the child. If such evidence is not produced the minor will not be allowed to travel.

Please find the attached consent form for Minors travelling with a Guardian to be filled in and presented at check-in on embarkation day.

Pregnancy Policy?

Royal Caribbean International cannot accept guests who will be more than 23 weeks pregnant at any time during the cruise or CruiseTour.

The Guest and treating physician should consider before any cruise that there is no Obstetrician/Gynecologist available on the ship, and that pregnancies, when unstable and poorly controlled, are potentially life-threatening, especially without back up. A Guest may be at sea for several days without any immediate hospital and/or specialist back up.

All guests are required to fill out a Public Health Questionnaire prior to arrival or at the pier attesting that they are not more than 23 weeks pregnant.

Accordingly, due to the limitations in medical care, both on board and in various ports of call, women who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy at any time during the time of the cruise will not be allowed to board or sail with the ship. Any pregnant woman who attempts to board the vessel who has entered her 24th week of pregnancy, or who will enter her 24th week of estimated fetal gestational age at any time during the cruise, risks denial of boarding and/or disembarkation without compensation or refund.

A large cruise ship filled with numerous people standing on several decks, enjoying the view. The ship has a large orange smokestack and a prominent checkered design along one of its sections. The sky in the background is blue and slightly cloudy.
